Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

It has been awhile since I last posted and I don't think I will bother to catch up on our events since then. As a new years resolution I would like to try to blog again. I like looking back at our post. We have had a lot of transitions this year and we survived. I am still having a hard time getting over losing Mabel. We want another dog eventually but she was one of a kind.

Charlie learned to walk on this trip :)
On a happier note we have made it well into the third trimester of my pregnancy and are excited to meet a Baby Girl sometime the end of February early March. Charlie is going to be a great big brother.

Visiting Scott and Rachelle in Portland, OR  November 2013 (I need more pregnancy photos)

Charlie keeps David and I entertained and so happy. He loves to run, play, climb and be active. Charlie is a great little traveler. He has traveled a lot this year including all over Colorado, Maine, Florida, Oregon, Ohio, South Carolina and North Carolina. We get to have some stability at home now until the baby comes. We have been checking out everything Winston Salem has to offer. David is very happy with his job to say the least.

Here are some pictures of a successful day trip Charlie and I had at the Children's Museum today. We were both impressed.

Well that's it for now. My goal is for at least 1 more post before our little girl arrives.

Charlie 11 months

Charles is 11 months old today!

David and I love our time with Charlie. He is so happy and so much fun to be with. The world is his jungle gym currently. He is wanting to crawl up anything and use whatever he can for support to stand and make his way around. Charlie loves his food and sitting down for meals is a good break from spotting him all day long.

8 months and Charlie's First Christmas

Charlie likes his freedom.

Possibly our favorite baby item so far. Charlie seems to be very content in his Deuter backpack carrier and Mom, Dad and Mabel get to go for a hike.

We are currently in Maine spending time at my sister and brother-in-law's house for the holidays. My sister is suppose to have baby cousin for Charlie any day. Charlie had a very nice first Christmas. He got a tunnel with tent from Santa. His Pop and Nana got him a baby lap top that makes all kinds of fun noises and speaks Spanish. My Dad has decided to try to get the most annoying sound making toy for Charlie each year. Next year, drums. We are having fun with my family. Currently we are in the middle of a snow storm. My sister and I made a cross country ski trail in their yard via snow shoeing. Charlie got his first experience playing in the snow. Hopefully baby Straine will come before the New Year but if not I have already scheduled a trip to meet my first niece or nephew in February.
